Today is Christmas and I'm spending the day working in office earning some OT... Hee..
But honestly, usually the xmas/new year period is very quiet so I guess I spend my time surfing net, playing facebook and also watching shows... Hee... :D

Sick... twice in a week

Sigh... I fell sick twice this week... Not sure what's going on, but the feeling's not nice and I dun like to feel sick. Started with a throat infection late last week and went to see a doc on Wed... Then on Fri, my flu and cough came... Luckily I slept enough over the weekend and so I'm feeling better now....

I'm working on both Xmas and New Year's Day with my dear colleague Carine... Heee... Hopefully we can pass the shifts "peacefully"... Not many calls and tickets... ;)

Cousins' overnight stay

My parents went to KL again this week... Yes, to settle the final part for my mum's EPF (equivalent to Singapore's CPF) in Malaysia. She had bumped into so many issues the previous time she went.. Had to ask my 3rd uncle to bring her to do her birth cert in KL and then last weekend I brought my parent to ICA to request for a letter, stating that she returned her blue IC over 20 years ago to Singapore instead of Malaysia when she became a citizenship. They were supposed to be back on Thursday evening... But as it was raining, my aunt sent them back home in the nite.

What I did not expect was... my 2 little devil cousins (6th aunt's kids) who had refused to stay here overnight previously, insisted on staying with us this time round! Wow... I dunno what triggered that but it's pretty worrying, coz they've never stayed here before, though they are very close to me & my parents. On Thurs night, my aunt kept asking them to go back but they refused and the little boy even cried and "nao bie niu" when being dragged. LOL... So no choice. They stayed...

I had to prepare them mentally and told them me n mum are working on Friday, so they'd only be home alone with dad & sis and they were ok, and so nice... They did not even fuss or make noise in the night when they slept with me. The only thing is the little boy woke up twice in the night to sleep with his sister... I guess he's having nightmares as he was bitten by a dog on his body at Granny's place b4 coming here. In fact, both nights here he had nightmares though ok after I pacified him. When I qn him the next day, he'd say he dreamt of big dogs chasing him.. The 2nd night, he even woke up and peed all over the kitchen at 3am... :(

Anyway, I'm glad they really enjoyed themselves on the Zoo trip I brought them on yesterday morning. We woke up pretty early and I looked after the kids while my dad went to buy breakfast for everyone. After breakfast & medication for the little boy for his dog bite, I dressed and brought them to the zoo. At first my aunt was really worried abt me bringing them alone, as the boy can be a pretty handful when outside. But throughout the trip, from taking LRT to bus and the walks in the zoo, was easy for me. I guess because I warned them beforehand... haha.. :P We watched the elephant show, and had many rides in the zoo and the kids really enjoyed themselves. Too bad my camera battery was spoilt, so we had to make do with a disposable cam. My aunt brought it back to JB to develop, so I've yet to see the photos too... heee...

Aunt came to pick us at about 3pm but the kids refused to leave the zoo... It started drizzling and I told them we have to leave, else the tigers will go after them.. Again, it's the boy who's very persistent to want to stay there.. haha... Finally we left at about 3 plus and went to Lot 1 for "lunch". After that, accompanied them to shop a while before coming home for dinner. I must really say.. when my aunt is aorund, the boy really misbehaves... Glad he din give me trouble at the zoo and we went and came back safe...

Though tiring, I enjoyed the day with the kids too... :D They left for home last nite after dinner.. hee... I can have my bed back. :P It's really cold sleeping directly under the aircon... Ah chooo...

Working in office

Firstly, I'd like to wish everyone a Happy Hari Raya Haji & A Happy Thanksgiving. Yes... it's a holiday today but I'm working in office.

Well, nothing bad abt it and I get to earn extra $$... haha... Anyway, I had a great nite last nite having dinner with Apple & Zichun-jie at Lao Di Fang @ Park Mall. It was a really nice and great ladies chat we had, with all kinds of topics in mind. Pretty amazing how we can start from topic A and then link to topics B, C, D and so on... and even ended with topic A again... If not that they were rushing off to meet ZQ for the movie 2012, we'd have chatted through the nite.. LOL.... Thanks ladies for the companion! :)

I went home at about 9 plus and had a bath before turning in for the nite. Today's pretty quiet in the office, given the holidays in SG & US... I feel so..... RELAXED... Heeee.... :D

Religious outing @ Botanic Gardens

Today, we had a gathering for the religious group in Botanic Gardens. It was really nice and interesting and fun! As I've never been there before and not sure of the way, Apple has kindly offered to let me go with her, TM and TM's mum... Haha... So I went to TM's place at about 2 plus. It's very big and there are 2 main entrances. We were early so we took a walk to the Orchid Gardens and waited for the rest there.

Shortly, the rest arrived too and we found a good spot under some shady trees. Zifang then took us on an exercise spree. Haha... It was fun, with such a big group of ppl exercising together and even other ppl joined in the fun, especially a few Caucasian foreigners. Before leaving, the kids even waved bye to us. So cute! After the exercise, we took a walk around the Botanic Gardens and there were so many pretty things and plants to look at, of coz, with lots of photos taken:-

This is interesting. The ladies have been "jumping" like this for whole evening after this first jump we had while walking. I think it's fun and funny and we were laughing like mad. After that, the ladies jumped a lot more, but I din join in. :p



By 7pm, we were all tired and the sky was getting dark, so we went home respectively. Thanks to the Malaysian aunties for the lift home and I'm sorry I cannot recall your names anymore. :(

Ladies' gathering - Making buns

Today I had a great gathering with a group of ladies from the religious class - at TM's house. Actually from morning I wasn't feeling well and went to "bomb" the toilet lots of times but I still went. :D Thanks to TM's mum for the mediaction to stop the diarrhea.

I was glad I joined in and did not miss all the nice and good food & events! At first, I only tot we go there make buns and then eat and go home, but TM's mum prepared so much food for us for steamboat and other fruits and food like wanton etc... Wow, we cannot finish all the food!








The event was nice with Suwen teaching us how to make the buns and it was my first time meeting her. Here are some pics of the "cheng guo" of the baos... All not very nice coz we all first time making:-

What a lovely ladies gathering. :D After that, the other ladies left so only left me and Apple. We had a nice chat in TM's room while he went to his parent's room to nap... Hee... At 6 plus, I left and shopped a while at Lot 1 b4 meeting idol for dinner. Dinner was nice too but too bad I din eat a lot as lunch as to overwhelming and not yet digested.

Independent week ahead...

My parents juz went to Granny's house in JB this afternoon and then tmr morning will be taking the coach with Granny to KL, my 3rd uncle's place and be there for 1 week oe so...

This is an independent week for me, I need to do a lot of things at home... Suddenly, feel that parents at home are so nice and I can be so relaxed...

Think I'm falling sick, been sneezing the whole day since I woke up this morning at 8 plus.. and the big ulcer on my tongue is really painful.. :(
Pray that I'd recover soon and stay strong...

Happy Halloween~

Yesterday was a long day for me.. Took me 1/2 a day to prepare vegetarian shark fin soup and bean curd fried wanton... For a Halloween gathering with my poly seniors from the Buddhist society! It was a really nice catchup and we had some much fun and laughter, especially with the presence of Theodore, Peiling's and Bryant's son... He's almost 2 years old and so so so cute... heee....

It was a pot luck so each of us brought some food. Other than the 2 dishes I "contributed" above, there were other dishes like curry chicken, pasta, salad, agar agar, drinks, bread.... Wow, we can't finish the food... heeee... as it was held in the La Casa Condominium in Woodlands @ Peiling's place, I had a hard time finding the place as it's only less than 2 years old. But it was a really nice place for gathering. Function room and KTV room too. If I knew there's KTV, we'd have brought lots of discs there to sing...

Also, Peiling made it a "fun" party where all of us had to dress up. Most ppl brought along their "dao ju" but I din. However, Peiling has 2 big bags of "costumes" for us to choose from.. From cute ones, to pretty ones, to scary ones.. I din have much choice as I can't put on makeup and wear stuffs on my eyes, so I chose the Halloween gal one... A fat Halloween gal.. hahaha...

1 week mark

Today is my one week mark of my lasik surgery. So far so good though sometimes I can feel that in my left eye, there's something inside... Let's see how it will go. I'm still on my eye shield when I sleep at night though the advice from the clinic is first 3 days... Also I feel that my eyes are not as dry as expected, but I'm still conscientiously putting the eye drop every 2-3 hourly... Closer if I remember. :D

Been 2 weeks since I went to the gym.... Feel myself bloating...

Happy 21st Birthday to my sis & Lasik updates

Firstly, Happy 21st Birthday to my kid sister! Today is her birthday and we brought her out to dinner last evening at the market coffeeshop zi char. She had wanted to go to Jack's Place for dinner, but becoz of my last min lasik changes, we had to "jiang jiu" and go to the coffeeshop, else I'd not be able to make it on time for my lasik surgery. I din buy her any presents but gave her some cash to spend instead. I think it's more feasible this way. She can choose what she wants to do with the cash.

Ok, now back to the happening events that took place yesterday... I had my lasik pre-evaluation appointment at 10am in the morning at LSC at Paragon. It was pretty organized and fast even though there are many people at the clinic. The nurses there are nice and polite and helpful. There were quite a lot of tests in the eval and many stations to go to. One thing that really surprised me was.. all along, I tot my myopia for my eyes were around 700, but upon checking, it was almost 1000 on my left eye and 800 on right. I asked the nurse who checked my eyes on that station how that is possible, since my contacts have been 700 for over 4 years and I can see clearly. She said contacts is not very accurate..... Duhz.. No wonder, coz I've not changed my glasses for 3 years since I dun wear them much. :P

After all the tests were done, including the dilation of the pupils, which made my eyes really uncomfortable, I had to wait over 30 mins to see the doc as he was in the surgery. Though I was first in q to see the doc, I still had to wait that long. And the consultation was only less than 10 mins..

After that, I proceeded to the main counter and the executive there explained to me on the differences on the different types of procedures available. My eyes are suitable for all kinds of lasik, and I was free to choose. I had only very slight astig, so it's only if I din take the ex package. But the executive told me the pros and cons of each package, so I decided to take the VISX Wavefront LASIK (IntraLase) which costs abt $4.2k after GST and I'm paying by installments... Duhz..

Originally I had wanted to schedule for the surgery in mid Nov but the executive told me that the sooner the better, so the eval results would not differ a lot. There was an empty slot yesterday night at 8pm and she advised me to take that up, So I can be back in office on Mon... And I did.. I was thinking might as well once and for all, dun drag. Things were happening so fast, my mind was in a whirl... Haha.. I had to rush to a bank in Raffles area and then rush home for dinner with family and take a bath (as no washing of face n hair 48 hours after surgery) and then rush back to Paragon for the surgery. Somemore they called me at 5 plus and see if possible to reach by 7 as doc was available. I rejected and went for the 7.30pm slot instead...

Mum had wanted to accompany me there but as she's working very early everyday so I rejected and went myself and a nurse brought me down to cab stand to take cab after the surgery. Honestly, while I was waiting for my turn at the rest area, I was really nervous and anxious. Glad that the nurses there helped me calm down a lot. After I was equipped with the surgery gownrobe, headwear, "shoes" and mask, I was admitted into the OT. There were quite a number of nurses there and Dr Marc Tay was very assuring and will tell what's the next step that comes along, so I can be mentally prepared. I think the whole procedure took less than 15 mins and there was no pain at all... Just very very smoky feel right after the surgery...

When I got home, I took the sleeping pill immediately but I can't get to sleep... There was a very uncomfortable feeling in my right eye so I took the 2nd sleeping pill. But I guess the eye shield also prevented me from resting. Honestly I dunno what time I fell asleep, but when I woke this morning, my shield were on the floor, hahaha... At least the eyes no longer feel pain or uncomfortable and I can see well. :D I then took the bus down to LSC again for my review. Dr Tay told me my eyes are healing well, but the sharp feeling in the right eye was becoz of the edge of the cornea that was cut. All I need to do is rest well and keep the eye moisturized. And indeed after I reached home a few moments ago, it was ok already. :D

Now life without specs or contact lenses is so convenient! Yeah!!!

No gym for almost 1 week

Hee, I skipped the gym for almost a week due to various reasons... Hopefully I'd be back there soon with my exercise routine!

I had a very nice and wonderful afternoon time today. Really nice and relaxing.

Dinner with Shihua

Today I met up with Shihua for dinner, to celebrate her belated birthday! Though I'm late by over a month, but it's alwiz never too late. :D I reached Bugis at about 6pm and met up with her at about 6.45pm. During the waiting time, I took the chance to visit Illuma, the new shopping there but nothing much, really. Very quiet and there was totally no crowd at all. The aircon was super duper cold and the ceilings are so high. I went to the highest level and when coming down the escalator, I felt as if I'm falling down. Had to hold on the handrail tightly to give myself some security.. Lol... In case if you dunno, I've fears for heights...

After we met up, Shihua suggested walking to City Hall for dinner as she's tired of the food in Bugis, so we walked all the way to Suntec.. She gave a few suggestions but as we go along, she changed her mind and in the end we walked all the way till Suntec for Kenny's Rogers. It's her favourite and I din know till tonight. :D We had a nice catchup over dinner and I'm glad the birthday gal enjoyed herself too. Thanks dear for walking me to the Suntec bus stop and then u had to walk to take the MRT yourself... :)

All kinds of updates....

Heee, same old lazy me has been really lazy to update.. So now, I'm combining a few posts into 1. :)

I met up with Maeve n Charlina last Monday at Lot 1 for dinner. It's a nice catchup for the 3 of us as Charlina flies around a lot and it's very hard for us to meet up. :) We had dinner in a Jap/Koeran fast food place before proceeding to have some Jap desserts. I dun really like but it was pretty nice... lol... By the time I got home, it's almost 10pm...

Fri gym was rather hectic. We got a new board cardio routine again and this time round, it's really hectic and we can get very breathless easily. Zu (the trainer) was the one who came up with this routine exercise for us. Pretty interesting I'd say, as every 1.5 months, the routine changes and you'd not feel boring with the same old stuff you're doing... Had wanted to go yesterday morning but becoz it was raining heavily so I dropped the idea.

Yesterday afternoon, after my mum knocked off, we went to JB, together with Dad & Sis becoz my cousin's son is holding his 1 month old celebration. My 3rd aunt is already a grandma of 2 kids.. how lucky. :) We visited Granny first at her home and brought her out for some snacks. :) I simply love the hor fun in JB... Taste so yum yum yum.... Then in the evening at about 6 plus, we went over to 3rd Aunt house and I took photos with her 2 grandkids again....


This is Yuan Yin, my biao jie's son. He's 1 year and 2 months old... So cute with those big round eyes, no one can resist carrying him.... He's walking pretty steadily liao...

Company bus

Haha, the company bus did not turn up this morning and I shared a cab with one of my colleagues in the Sales dept to office. Can claim taxi fare... Then in the afternoon, we got email updates that out of 6 bus routes, 5 were changed.... Hopefully tmr the new bus driver knows where to pick us up from :P

This week coming to office has been a nightmare. :P

Long time catchup & gathering

Last Sat, metup with my poly gang of frens for dinner at Novena. It was a great gathering for all of us, especially since most of us have not met for more than 2 years... LOL... Thanks to Alan for treating us to steamboat there and congrats man on your upcoming wedding. :)

Actually, that day, Alan was supposed to meetup with the guys who will be his brothers on his wedding day on Jan, but he jioed me and Louisa too to contribute our ideas... Everyone involved turned up, except for that Uncle Winston and the best part is Alan can never reach him. Anyway, not to spoil the mood... Other than Alan, myself and Law's gf - Wendii, the other 5 guys who were present will b brothers - Kenny, Law, Yiming, KimSuah & Winston who was absent.

Alan wanted me to help him be his emcee, but I think I lacked the courage for it... Lol.. Louisa has agreed to it and Alan's looking for a suitable male emcee partner for her. If he can't, I'd have to join Louisa as the emcee as well. I think that meetup that day was pretty well-planned. Alan had a list of stuffs to followup on and I took the lead to go through item by item to ensure we did not miss anything. The rest of the guys were also nice to contribute their ideas... lol... They all say I sound like a professional wedding planner... Mayb if one day I lose my job, I can consider taking up a wedding planner as a job.. lol... anyway, I've no plans of getting hitched or married. :D

Oh, thanks also to that ming for the ride there and home... hee hee.... *Holds onto the handle tight tight*

P.S: Met up with Maeve and Susie for dinner too on Fri night. It's been more than 5 years since I last saw Susie and it was nice catching up. Din expect them to know each other. :D Also my first attempt to take Long Island in a gay bar at Chinatown. Alcohol is not meant for me. After finishing the drink, I felt so sleepy... :P

Gym updates

Today... I started a new set of exercises and also taken my measurements in gym.... Pretty amazed coz whatever that's supposed to go up, went up, and what's supposed to come down, decreased... Horray... Only thing is my weight... According to the instructor, it's common since my da yi ma is coming. According to her, it's common and might decrease up to 2kg after the da yi ma period...

Anyway, it's pretty hectic on the new exercises... the 2 rounds of cardio enough to make me all breathless and energy-less, then plus the new floor mat, I think I'm working out a lot more... :D With this, I also need to spend at least 15 more mins in the gym per session. Hopefully I can catchup with it and gambatte to bring down my weight real soon... heee...

Router almost fried & New acquaintance

Ok, I know this timing is late for me and I'm supposed to be in bed, but I'm still drying my hair from the bath and so decided to take a few mins to post this...

Well, yesterday evening at 7plus, I was using the computer when the wireless connection dropped. So I thought it was pretty normal and did the few actions... But apparently I was wrong... It keeps getting disconnected and connected.... Connected for few mins and drops for 15 mins, then connect for another 5 mins and dropped again. This was from my desktop, so I decided to take my laptop to try...

The exact same thing happened! Though it was able to detect the network in the site monitor but it cannot detect any connection hence can't connect. But after several mins, it will attempt to connect again and the same process on the desktop happened on the laptop too. I then tried with wired connection and it was fine... No dropping or any weird symptons. Took me more than an hour and wasted my precious time. :P Today it seems pretty ok, so we'll see how before I do more troubleshooting as suggested. If all else fails, it's time to get a new router. :P

New acquaintance
Now this is pretty interesting and it happened about an hour ago on my way home. I was onboard an SBS on my way to Stevens Road to change bus to come back home... Just before alighting at my desired stop, there was a woman who's about mid-late 40s who was having issues with her EZ-link card and I kindly told her to tap on the reader on the side I'm on as the one she's trying appears to be faulty. She thanked me for the information and said I'm a nice girl. Yes, she used the word GIRL, not lady... I smiled back and thought that's all to the story...

But how wrong I was. After alighting at the bus stop, she waited a few secs for me and said we have fate and asked where I'm heading to. Told her I'm crossing the bridge to take bus home and she said same for her. After more chatting, we noticed we are living in the same area and she said it's nice to know a new friend so the trip home will not be boring anymore. We din really intro our name to each other, till just before I was about to alight at my stop. How amazing.. LOL

Apparently, she tot I'm only about 20 or 21 years and when I told her my age and occupation, she was so surprised... Haha... Then she went on to tell me about her teenage kids - 19 yr old girl and 16 yr old boy and she's working as a customer service in HDB. We were chatting a bit on our jobs and she thought IT is a good industry, hoho... Pretty nice woman to chat with. Long story short, her name is Karen and she said if she ever meets me again, she hope she can recognise me. haha...

Ok, time for bed. I'm really sleepy now... So looking forward to this Fri evening... :D

Yearly meetup?

Haha.. I dunno for whatever reasons, for the past 2 weeks, seems like I was really busy meeting up with different groups of friends. From pri, to sec, to poly, to religious group and etc... Phew... Felt so tired the past week coz usually I stay home after work, but I've been going out so much the last 2 weeks...

Anyway, Fri evening was really a nice catchup session with my polymates, Louisa & Law. This group of frens... Hard ot meetup one coz everyone's so busy, we dun have time for one another. Glad that we met up that day though it was only 3 of us. Catchup up on our lives and updating each other. Louisa started the jio-ing and we said even if only got the 2 of us, we'd still meet up, and I'm glad to did. Tsk tsk.. Din expect her to say she missed us that much, after not meeting for a year. :) The last time was on Alan's solemnization last year in Sept, so exactly 1 year liao...

We had dinner at Fish&Co at Park Mall there and it was so "romantic" becoz there was quite a long blackout. According to Louisa, that is common and will resume after few mins, but I think that blackout was more than 15 mins.. and right after it resumed, Law mumbled something and we told him to shutup after that.. Haha... For a good 30 mins or more, we ate in the dark and were "offered" 2 candles, but it din help much as it was very dim, so we juz ate what we can take from the platter...

After dinner, Louisa said I cannot go home so early, must catchup more. So in the end, we went to TCC and had some cakes and drinks there. It was nice and we were thinking of our old poly days, even up to the extend of discussing the redang trip I had in 2002 with the guys in the class... Haha... It's nice and I think we really can try going back again. Both me & Louisa can't swim btw.. and we're kinda worried... LOL

Only at about 11.15pm, then we parted ways. Louisa & I went to the Park Mall bus stop and took separate buses while Law took the train. I think the next meetup shouldn't be too long away as Alan told me he will meet the guys to discuss on his wedding as they are all his buddies and he invited me to be the MC! Omg... I dun think I can take up such a big task. :P

Catchup

Met up with Maeve yesterday evening after gym for some catchup. It's been really a long time since we last met. I think at least 6 months or so? Hoho... It was a nice catchup though she's not feeling well. Felt so touched she came to meet me though she's nursing a bad flu...

Gal, take good care n rest well huh.... Let's catchup one of these days again. :)

Eat & Eat

For the past week.. I've been eating non stop... Tsk tsk.. Thanks to everyone who treated me, gave me presents and wished me over MSN, Facebook, SMS and face to face! Wow...

Monday was my 27th birthday and Tuesday was my Lunar birthday, same as my mum... Let's start from the events on Monday... Early in the morning, I got lots of sms wishing me happy birthday, including my dear Hui-zi mei.. Glad to know you're recovering. :) The cute part is even my colleague who will be seeing me in less than 30 mins also sms me happy birthday while waiting for her bus.. LOL.. Thanks lor Ms Oh for the sms and the cute mango "cake" from BreadTalk. :D I worked 1/2 day and the 4 hours in the afternoon was simply fantastic. First time in my life... celebrating on actual day, haha... Sheesh... In the evening, I went for a facial, before meeting up Apple & the rest of gang from religious group at vegeterian restaurant - Lao Di Fang. Tuesday, as mentioned was my Chinese bday, with my mum. My dad cooked me such a big bowl of mee suah, I had problem finishing it up, but I still did... Haha.. Coz there is my favourite pig kidney, liver & lean meat in it... Garnished with shallots, wow.. damn nice. Dad also added 2 eggs, heee... Then at 8 plus, sis bought home a cake to celebrate for us! Wow.. imagine, eating the whole night... My stomach almost burst after that... :P But it was nice. Thanks to family.

On Fri.. I met up with Shihua. Was supposed to meet up on Monday but becoz she got interview on Tues, so we decided to meet up last night instead at JP. Thanks dear for the treat to the noodles and xiao long bao at Ding Tai Fung. :D I simply enjoy the meal with you. Also... Thanks so much for the "cardigan". :) After the meal, we went to shp around JP abit before taking the MRT back. We took to Joo Koon and it's so ulu and quiet and dark at night. Long journey too.. hee... Nice chat on the train, haha...

What a busy weekend!

It's been really a busy week for me, especially over the weekend. My cousin's son in JB is celebrating his 1 yr birthday so I gotta go over as a representative for my family to attend the buffet dinner. It was nice seeing Granny again as well as catching up with all of my aunties. Haha... Yesterday morning I went in and 6th aunt picked me from city square to Granny's place. Then evening time, went to Cousin's place for the buffet dinner.

Err, though it was a condo, I dun really like the place. The lightings are too dim and some places like the see-saw for the kids are too dark. Yilin even had to ask me to accompany her before she goes to play on the swing and slide even though it was juz next to the pool, where we were having the buffet. Granny's having a slight fever so we din stay there for long. Went back and washed up then slept in after watching the news. And oh, Granny almost fell down the stairs that night. Heng got the fridge there, else jalat... :( Upon hearing the noise, I rushed downstairs from my room... Sigh.... Gave me a big scare... I helepd her up after that and made sure she rested well...

This morning I came back to Singapore pretty early.. at about 9 plus. Firstly I want to avoid the jams at the causeway and also I need to rush back to attend the 1 year BB celebration for Cindy Tiah's baby gal - Louisha. It was nice meeting everyone back from poly dayz. So many of them are pregnant now. Not only Cindy is pregnant with her 2nd kid - a boy, even Yanling also pregnant. Also, there are so many kids running around the place despite the rain, I was kept entertained the few hours I was there. Heee... Thanks to Ariel for sending me there & to Victor for sending me home, despite the bad flu you're nursing! Great catchup! :D

So many ppl are sick!

So many people around me are sick! I think the worst cases are my bro, Apple & Wenhui.... My bro was sick for almost 2 weeks and seen over 4 docs but his condition din seem to get better so my mum brought him to see Nam Seng at Bt Timah on Tues. Doc said his fever is so high it's affecting his brain, so gave him Tamiflu and tonnes of other medications. Wed, mum took leave and brought him to see the doc again as the fever was persistent. In the end, blood was drawn and sent for lab test. I was super praying it's not h1n1, else it'd be very difficult for me. :P Heng it was only bateria infection coz of his daily habits - like not drinking enough water & alwiz sleeping very late.

Then I got to know both Apple & Hui-zi are sick! Apple is feeling much better now though in the beginning it was pretty terrible too. Yesterday went for religious class and realised that for Hui-zi, not only she din get better, she even got more sick. She seen 3 docs and even a chinese physician, but when I saw her last night... She was so lethargic. Her symptons are so so so similiar to my bro, I told her to Nam Seng... Told her mum too... coz I think normal doc dun really bother nowadays with so many flu cases... Sigh...

Hope all of you out there who are sick, will recover soon! Take care n rest well. Drink more water! :D

Bz August

I realised that Aug has been a really busy month for me. Normally, i'd be home on weekends and slacking around.. But for the past few weekends, I've been really busy. Just take the week that passed for example. On Sat morning, I went to the gym to exercise. Then after that Apple came to the gym to find me so she can help me to carry the food stuffs to TM house.

The reason why we're preparing food is becoz that evening, we have a gathering in one of the religious class fren's home and each person will bring some food, like pot-luck. I was tasked to make some desserts. At first, had wanted to make mango pudding, but because of some reasons, we got it changed to agar-agar instead. I made kiwi and pineapple flavour and a lot of ppl said it's pretty nice. :D Appel made some fruits salad and TM's mum made vegeterian wanton. She added some cheese in the wanton and it tasted superb...

In the evening, we had a great time eating all the nice food prepared by everyone and also a great time catching up. My mum went along too and I think it's nice for her to catch up with the aunties again. After the food, we had some intro sessions and me & Wenhui-mei had to teach a song too. Felt so nervous then... heeee... Thanks to Uncle& Auntie Chua for sending us home after the event!

Today is a holdiay, but I'm in office, earning my OT pay. Anyway, I've got nothing much to do.. might as well come and earn some $$$... Heee.... Both Apple & Wenhui meis are not well.... Better take care, drink more water n rest well hor!

Happy Birthday to Mum!

Yeah, today's my mum's birthday!! We juz came back from dinner at Fajar. Ordered so much food, I think my stomach is exploding. ;)

It's pretty rare as my bro usually dun join us. He did today and paid for the meal, I guess my parents must be happy. Though it was a short meal but as long as mum is happy, I'm fine. I offered to get her a small cake but she said it's ok since none of my family members like cake...

And oh, mum and me share the same Lunar Birthday.. Tsk tsk.... :D

Updates

Yeah... I should have posted this sometime last week, but as I was pretty busy at work and then very tired and lazy after work, hence I din... postponed till today then decided to sit down and blog.. tsk tsk...

Last weekend was pretty fun. On Sun noon time, I was supposed to meet Apple at the bus stop near my home, so we can take the bus and train to AMK to Shihua's house. I tot Apple would be pretty fast walking down but in the end, I waited for almost 20 mins for her.. And the reason of her lateness is becoz she's fascinated with the stuffs sold at the market opposite my home.. Lol.. She needs to pass by there to the bus stop she's meeting me at, from Baozhu-jie house... In the end, met Junhan there and it was a nice catchup. Been a really long time since I din see him. Wished him happy belated birthday too.

We took 171 to Yishun and then train to AMK and dear Shihua brought her mini-maltese Ookii to meet us and bring us to her home. Ookii seemed pretty friendly with us along the way, but things turned "ugly" the moment we stepped into her home. I think Ookii might think we're invaders since they've not had any visitors in the home before. She kept barking at us non stop and even "charged" at me when I stepped in, till I freaked out. Omg... haha.... so comical. Even when she was blocked by her fence, the moment she saw us, she barked non stop. For the 2 hours we were there, the poor dog was barking and barking. I felt so paiseh and afraid will disturb their neighbours... Shihua made us some mango pudding and it's nice and I like the Tiramisu cake too... :D Thanks dear for the great reception that afternoon. :D

At about 3.30pm, we took the train downtown and was chatting non stop on the train, all kinds of topics... Alighted at Dhoby Ghaut and went to crocs but as there were no stock there on the models we were looking for, so we walked to nearby OG. Me & Apple bought a pair each and I was thinking, this time round.. won't leg pain anymore. But I was so wrong... Still pain, haha... :P I think my delicated legz not suited for covered shoes. After that, me & Apple rushed off to Teck Whye and met some others from religious class to have dinner there b4 they went for a meeting. I then came home myself. It's fruitful day and nice visiting Shihua's & Mr Lee's home... :)

Then on Wed evening, it was ROM for one of our poly classmates. Met up with Apple @ Dhoby Ghaut again at about 6 plus, then we took 36 to Parkway Parade b4 walking in to East Coast. And I was wearing that pair of crocs again and I think I changed over 5 pieces of plasters on my legz but still din help. My legz even cramped badly and we wasted abt 10 mins sitting down before we can walk further. Upon reaching the walkway @ the beach, I felt so pain.. I decided to take off the shoes and walked barefooted... Heee... It took us more than 20 mins to walk from 1 end of the beach to the other, where the chalet was. Though tiring, at least we made it there... :D Congrats to Kim Guan & Mabel on your ROM! Thanks for the invitation that evening. :)

At the end of it, Eugene sent us to Bugis area and I took a cab home, my legz are too pain to walk anymore to take the bus or MRT... LOL...

Went for religious class last night though I was nursing a sore throat and a painful neck & shoulder. I skipped the classes almost whole of July.. Tsk tsk... I think I sprained my neck quite badly on Fri night and when I woke yesterday morning, I couldn't move my neck at all and felt the whole head exploding. mum helped me massage b4 I went out yesterday and I went to bed after reaching home last night.. Heng this morning when I woke, it's much better. Only a little pain today on the left side.. :) Nice catching up with Hui-zi last night too.. Mei, think u very heaty... Must remember to drink more water and take care! Gambatte!!!

I'm so sleepy.. Time for bed now.... Another new week starting soon... ;)

The past week...

The past week has been pretty hectic at work for me again. Sigh... hopefully with that project now closed, similar issues will not occur again and cause me mightmares and sleepless night...

Anyway, I met up with Apple on Monday evening after work to do hair treatment. She called me on Sun evening for K but I rejected her as I think I cannot take it due to the sleepless nights last weekend. However, we had a pretty long nice chat over the phone and I think she laughed till tummy pain becoz of some contents of the conversation. ;) It was pretty nice to meet up again after pretty long. Previously when studying, we alwiz had the luxury to go out... but after we started working, it's very difficult to arrange meetups. Lol...

Also, for the past few weeks, I've been going regular to the gym and though I'm not sure if there's a reduction in weight, I felt healthier and not as breathless when I climb the stairs of bridge. Was supposed to go today again (so as to make up 3 times a week)... But I was sneezing non stop the whole day. That stopped me from going coz I think I won't be able to complete the 2 rounds of circuit. :(

Coming week, one of our poly classmate is ROM-ing and inviting us for lunch/dinner at East Coast Chalet. I'm meeting Apple after work then go for dinner in the evening, but won't b staying long.. Still need to work on Thurs. Congrats to KG & Mabel on your ROM! :)

My rabbit is now pushing my leg with her nose to ask for a massage. haha... Pampered by her Ah Gong (my dad), she needs several 'massage" sessions daily, but I think I'll leave the sacred task to my dad... LOL... I love my Xiao bai... Woof woof... ;)

Help me... I'm feeling so tired and sleepy, but no matter what I do, I can't fall asleep.... I'm dying.. :(

Ya, I know it's been a really long time since I last updated my blog. Was pretty busy the past week plus fell ill for over a week the week before. Felt so lethargic and bad...

Anyway, that's not the worst. I think today's the worst day... For the whole day, nothing seems to have gone right. Whatever that could have gone wrong, went wrong... Right from the very time I reached office area, the stall selling kuehs and newspapers was not opened.. Then when I to to office and saw someone I din want to see (this person almost spoilt my whole day), on top of it, a whole chunk of email threads on an issue that have been on going for 2 weeks, but only today, we're told we've done things wrongly. The last email thread we saw, I tot we already had everthing sorted out, but in fact no, nothing was done and everyone said what they thought and no one else was updated and hence lots of descrepanices. Everything was back to square 1 after so many emails coz of communication breakdowns.I was tasked to clear up the mess by speaking to 2 parties who are apparently not talking and had to be the bridge. Finally, everything was sorted out during lunch time. But sigh... shitty work

Lunch did not go well at all.. not only I din get to eat well.... I even felt sick in the stomach. Hah... so nice... In the end, I think dun really have lunch time, as I was still working on my tickets and queues and email thru lunch while eating... Other than that, different other issues cropped up today too and the SG IT mgr, whom I'm not reporting to, came into the helpdesk room to speak so many times with me... Kaoz....

Then at knocking off time, I tot everything shld b pretty ok. But no!! Things went as wrong as they can be, from msn message to sms to call, I got shot on whatever that's possible. I feel those are not my fault, but well, mayb they really are!!!! All my fault...... It's not I'm not natural, all along that's me. Even when sometimes I see the boss or some other colleagues at the bus stop, I dun even look at him, not to mention talk to him or smile.... teach me, how to b natural? I'm a super un-natural person and sorry for ruining your weekend.

On my way back, I felt so stressed and sad, I think I cried on the train while going to the gym. that auntie standing near me, might have seen my red nose and teary eyes... I really needed to vent out a bit... Can no longer control my emotions after a long day with heavy workload and shit, plus no consolation... I think I broke down. Can no longer feel.... While walking from cck to the gym, I almost got knocked down by a lorry... There was no vehicle when I was crossing, but the lorry suddenly appeared and just horned. I can't imagine what I'd be like now if I din pause where I was when I heard the loud long horn. How worst can things get? I dunno, really dunno....

I need some enlightenment and some consolation.... :(

Lassie

Recently, I found that I've a few VCDs which I bought a long time ago, but I din watch them at all. Today, I watched one of these "old" VCDs - a movie by the name of Lassie... It's a very nice and touching show. Towards the end, I even cried 3 times while watching it. "OT" in office for extra 10 mins juz to complete the show....

The story is about a female dog by the name of Lassie. She's a sheepdog, meaning she stays in a farm, helping to look after and herd sheeps. One day, they were transporting Lassie and the sheeps to another farm, when a tragic accident happened and Lassie's owner got killed in a car accident. At the same time, another family was moving to another part of the state and they witnessed the accident. The little gal of the family, Jennifer, got very attached to the dog but the daddy refused to take Lassie in. However, Lassie was fond of the gal and her family too and followed them all the way to the next town where they were resting. It was then that the daddy was persuaded to keep Lassie.

Jennifer's elder bro, Matt was a very defiant teenager, partly coz his mum died and his dad got him a stepmum. The dad wanna move the family to the countryside so that Matt will not b so defiant and hopefully grown up to be a nice man. Originally, Matt really hates Lassie but many instances made me grew close to Lassie and Lassie even saved his life twice - once from the wolves and once from the dam. The whole story is nicely written that towards the end, when Matt tot that Lassie died while saving him, he was so sad and crumbled into his stepmum's hug. But of coz luckily, Lassie, the strong dog made it home a few days later. There she stood outside Matt's classroom... These 2 scenes really made me cry like a waterfall. It's worth watching and very educational I'd say.

Anyway, I've been pretty down the past few days with no sense of motivation. And I was wearing sort of some "lok cork" shirts n pants to office, my colleagues commented that they feel weird seeing me in this attire.. Haha... Mayb I shld wear more of these, so they can get used to it... ;)

Tired...

I'm so tired... Been so busy over the weekend.... That I dun think my mind is working well... Haha...

Office & Work
Anyway, Friday, we finally moved down to the new office. The place is pretty nice and quiet but the aircon is freezing cold - just 30 mins there, you can feel the coldness to your bones. From what I understand, it's quite difficult for them to bring the temperature up. Others in various part of the same level 2 office are facing the same problem.
Suddenly, I really missed my previous helpdesk room, with windows and sunshine... Me & Jess started moving down first but as they forgot to install the "grounmet" in the table, there's no hole for all the wires to go from table top to the CPU at the bottom, so everything was practically haywire and damn messy. It took much longer to move too and I can only leave office at 5 plus.
Also, Carine called me this morning and kinda shocked me, coz she sounded that she was sobbing really badly. Turned out that while on the way to work, she felt giddy and somehow fainted "into" a tree. A kind hearted passerby brought her to the nearby clinic, so while waiting for the doc, she called to update me. The stupid doc juz gave her 2 days MC but as she din feel quite right, she went to another doc for a 2nd opinion and was referred to SGH immediately for an X-ray. The X-ray showed she had a fractured nose and it's pretty bad, so she gonna be hospitalized for observation. I pray for her that she will recover fast. :) Nowadays, visitation at hospitals are so strict due to H1N1 so we won't be visiting her... She sent me a pic thru mms and she's quite badly bruised on the face.

Exercise progress
For the past week, I've been going to the Contour Express gym with Apple for their trial and I think it's pretty good. For a nominal fee, you get your height, weight, BMI, body fat analysis, water level anaylsis etc measured and a set of exercise that suits you will be created to help you to lose weight and tone up the body. Tonight was our last trial and we find the package pretty good and effective. Too bad Apple's work schedule does not fit the timing, hence she did not sign up for it. For me, I signed up for a 1 year package and so the $19 trial is considered free to me. Ladies, can try this if u want.. I still got 3 "recommendation" cards here... Can go for free trial, effective till end Jul for the card... hoho...

Religious class
I did not foresee that I had to spend so much time over the weekend attending classes and helping out in classes. though very tiring but it's fruitful. On Sat afternoon, after I went to gym with Apple, we went to TM house. His mum cooked dinner for us and it's the lagi best "giam beng" that I've tasted. Very nice and amazing. Also, thanks to my dear Apple for the gifts from Korea - honey & a bag which I'm using now. After dinner, we took a cab to Marsiling for the religious class and TM was the speaker that night. I liked the topic very much - fillial piety. Very true. :) Great lesson learnt!
Then on Sunday morning, as the class did not have enough ppl to help out, I was asked to go help out. It was a long event. Met up with Zifang & her parents at Teck Whye for breakfast at 7am, then she gave me a lift to the place. From about 7.45 to 2.30pm, I was standing most day and sweating in the kitchen helping out. Though it was tiring and tough but I guess it's worthwhile. After the class, Baozhu-jie came to my home, coz she wanna find my mum and chat with her... Tsk tsk...

Father's Day Celebration
We also had FD celebration yesterday evening. Treated my family to dinner at a nearby coffeeshop. The standard is not as good as the first time we went. It's the newly opened kopitiam in the CC near my home. First time we went was a weekday and there were not many patrons. The food was nice and there was free ching teng as well. But yesterday was FD and everywhere was very crowded. We waited so long for a free table and then longer waiting time for the food to be served. But I guess it was nice to sit down like that once in a while to eat. Though most evenings, we eat together as a family, as least on FD, there's no cooking and washing needed. Haha... But seriously, I think if I did not go out yesterday, I'd have bought food and cooked instead. Healthier and cheaper and also no need to wait for so long.... :)

Lack of rest over the weekend and I'm feeling really really tired now. Was sneezing non stop last night and had to take medication before I had a goos rest. I'm going for my rest now again to catchup on my sleep!

Gosh, so bz....

I was so so so busy yesterday, I dunno how time passed... haha... After work, on my way home, mum called me and asked me to buy a printer as sis need it to print her homework. Went to Yishun Harvey Norman and saw the Samsung Color Laserjet not back... CPL-310. Decided to get it but transport is an issue for me as the printer is 14kg.... So no choice, asked them to call the BPP branch near my home to see if there's any stock and got one from there instead. Parents met me there and carried the printer back.... The cost is $268... Pretty stylo, haha...

Then after that, we came home in a taxi and as I was meeting Apple for an exercise session, I din have time to take dinner and went out shortly after changing. We met up at CCK blk 202 to the Contour Express gym centre for ladies. At first, we were rather skeptical and think the cost might be pretty high but Apple suggested going in to find out more information and to look around the environment, and so we did. The people there were pretty friendly and they talked to us a lot on the different aspects of a female body. Weight and height measurements were taken as well as our body analysis. Pretty cool, one little machine can take all readings.. Lol... we were there almost 1.5 hours. Then after that, Apple asked me if wanna go TM house, so we can drop our bags there and at least jogged a bit since we din workout in the gym.

At first I was pretty reluctant since it's already 9 plus. But in the end, we still went. Wow, the brickland route is so so so so long... and becoz I din not take dinner, I felt so giddy and walked mostly. Besides, it's so dark and late... I felt so lethargic. 10pm is my usual bedtime... Only at 11 plus, then we reach back to TM home... Felt so tired that I took a cab back home. Bathed and took dinner then went to bed, at almost 12am... gosh... What a rushed and long day.. Din expect that... :P

Then today, during lunch, my colleague suggested going to John Little to see see look look. So we went... in the end, both of us got a pair of pillow each. 2 pillows for $19 and I love the touch and quality of it. Personally, I dun like pillows that are too soft, coz the whole head and neck will practically "sink" down and there's no support, hard to rest well. After work, when I got home, I setup the new printer and then put my pillow to use... Heee, later go to bed will know if it's good... pretty it will, since it's a pillow of love. ;)

Ok, time for bed... so tired and restless now.

Met up with my Shihua yesterday evening after work to catch up again. Thanks dear for the nice gift you got me from Australia as well as the McCafe treat u've given me last evening. heee.... :)

Before meeting up, I went to AMK to find my cousin Teck again. Need to pass him some medicated oil which my mum wanna give to my granny. Apparently Granny's been feeling sick again and she has very bad rheumatism. Hopefully she'll get better soon. After dropping off the medicated oil to Teck, I took a train back to woodlands, to meet Shihua. As she's travelling from her workplace in NTU and it'll take a while, I went to the pasar malam and bought 3 big packets of instant noodles.. Haha.. So heavy to be carrying them around... The whole shopping centre is so crowded.

Shihua is so cute.. when she arrived, she was trying to call me on my cellphone, but called my home number instead. She told me after meeting up with me... then when I came home after meeting her, my mum told me again. Mum was laughing all the way and trying to imitate how Shihua shouted out my name loud loud when mum picked the call.... LOL... so funnie... laugh till cannot make it.. haha... It was a nice catchup and we were talking on a lot of topics. I think the most interesting part is on adoption. Long story short, my dear friend's mindset think it's very easy for an adopted 2-3 year old kid (or older) to accept his/her adpoted parents... Haha... I still think ownself give birth one better lar... Unless no choice, then opt for adpoted ones.. We were chatting this topic in general, but it grew relatively interesting.. :)

Yesterday was also one of my colleague's birthday. It was Carine's first birthday in our helpdesk, so we decided to gang up and give her a little surprise. Together with Jess, Dharma and CL, we ordered pizza in to share among the whole team and I got her a small piece of cake. After the bday gal went to ladies, I got Dharma to hold the cake with the lighted candle behind the door and we expected to surprise her.... but that auntie........ looks so calm, I almost fainted.. :P Haha... anyway it was nice to have this "gathering and celebration" once in a while, coz it's never possible to have the whole team out for lunch at 1 go (we have staggered lunch time).

Tiring day today but it's nice and fun. I wanna sleep so much... :D

Had breakfast at Yishun MacDonalds and then took a bus downtown. Had a very nice and wonderful afternoon till about 2pm and then decided to go AMK find my cousin, Teck. It's been quite sometime since we last catch up, so I decided to drop by there since I'm not working and chatted for about an hour with him. Congrats to him... his unborn baby is a boy boy... He's so happy, hee.... Can see the happiness on his face the moment I mentioned abt the BB. Pretty tough on his since his wife is not working and he's not earning that much from his current job. At least there's an income and he's saving up. Jiayou, my biao ge.... :)

Had wanted to buy a pair of croc shoes like Shihua, after she told me how nice n comfotrable it is... Especially my pair of shoes broke last week and got thrown into the rubbish chute. Was in AMK today and walking around but too bad I din see what I want. Bought a similiar pair of "crocs" but it's not comfortable and it hurts a bit. My right leg even cramped several times though it's been a lot time since it last cramped. Sigh... Mayb my dear gal can tell me? :P haha... Due to the pain in my leg, I gave up the thought of shopping in NTUC Xtra in AMK Hub and took a train back instead. Dropped at Yishun and took my usual bus... Sigh, that timing also so many ppl... From 3.45, waited till 4.15 then the bus came... World class public transport... hahahaha... :P

Feeling pretty tired after a day's activities today. I guess I will rest early tonight... Hee...

The weekend

The weekend has been pretty fruitful for me. After a long long time (like more than 1.5 years before I started my degree course), I've not really stepped into the kitchen for any serious cooking except the normal weekend dinner for the family.

Last Sat, I decided to bake cakes and make agar agar.... It's been so long since I baked, I forgot all about my recipe. Luckily I had it pasted on my fridge and my parents did not throw it away... Hoho... I baked 2 chocolate cakes and 1 vanilla cake. Also made lots of mango agar agar with friuts inside. Took me almost the whole day... from buying ingredients to preparing, to cooking, to baking etc etc. I think I forgot to take my lunch that day. :P anyway, it was nice and satisfying.. especially ppl are telling me the food is nice. :D

Then yesterday on Sunday, I was rotting at home as usual.. Heee.... Was online in facebook when I spotted Shihua online... Tsk tsk... we chatted a while there then she logged off accidentally and sms me. So I asked when she's going for her honeymoon. Appears that she's going that same evening.. LOL... Such a coincidence.... This morning at 7 plus, she so cute... took 2 pictures in Gold Coast and sent to me... Hee... Gal ah, it's your honeymoon leh... You shouldn't be missing me there.... haha... :P Later Mr Lee jealous ah! :P Hope you enjoy your trip and come back as a relax person who enjoyed your holiday. :)

I'm feeling tired and restless and very warm... the weather is killing me... :(

I dun understand why....

Seriously, I dun understand why... each time I go running, I'd come home with lots of mosquito bites on my legs... Today lagi best, other than my legs, even my face also kena bitten twice! Omg, I must have offended the mosquito family in my previous life... :P Today there are at least 7 bites on my legz....

Time to cool down, and bath... before mapling... hahaha....

Thanks to Idol for the nice nice lunch treat yesterday... Hee.... The food n scenery is nice. :D Only if it din rain....

Fullerton Hotel Dim Sum Buffet

Last Sunday, Corina jio me to Fullerton hotel with her bf and few of their friends to have dim Sum buffet there. The food is good and so is the service. For weekends, the pricing for the dim sum buffet is $28+++ and timing from 1130am to 3pm... We went there at 1130am and ate till almost 3pm. my stomach almost burst. It was a great catchup with my good fren and some other sec skool frens whom i dunno that well.. :)

That same night... there was a "war" at home. My sis has been saying for the longest time she wanna go further her studies. But she doesn't even have a N cert so we told her to get her N first, but she's so stuborn and wanna sign up for MDIS Business course with her friend. The total cost is estimated to b 3.6k and after much "fighting", my parents sponsored her course, half each by each parent since they got their CPF this year. :P The war happened coz my mum was worried she doesn't know what she's doing and might b conned, so requested to speak with my sis's fren regarding this. In the end, my sis buay song and said mum invaded her privacy. Harlow, parents are paying for the course of coz they shld know more mah... Made a big fuss out of it, in the end.. kena screwed by mum almost the whole night and sis cried till wanna tear down the house liao.. gosh..

The past week has been pretty hectic for me. Though I was on mc on tues, still brought my parents out nearby plaza to buy their cellphones. We had 2 $100 vouchers and they were under my name, that's y I need to go. I'm fiddling with the idea if I shld get my cell changed as well since the other number contract is up, juz that there's no vouchers. But I'm so used to my 6280 and it's working well, so in the end, I did not change it.

Felt so drained mentally the past week... hopefully things will be back to normal next week.. :)

I can't wait to post this... heee....

Congratulations to my dearest Shihua on her wedding today! Finally after so long, you got married today, hee..... Formally become Mrs Lee Wee Meng liao. :) So happy for you.

I met up with my godbro, Thong at Far East today at about 5.25pm before we walked over to Goodwood Park Hotel to look for the bride & groom! It was a challenge. She gave me the room number 363... So we tot it was on level 3. In the end, it was on level 1... Duhz... Nevertheless, we were the first to arrive and took some photos with the bride first... Heee....


That's Thong... Working in KL so we only met up like once every year or once every 2 years, haha...


Our most beautiful bride.... I've never seen her dress up before and she looks so pretty and different when dressed up. Woman, shld wear more dresses/skirts lar....


That's my best fren and me! Haha... Thanks for the compliments that I looked pretty today but you're the bride leh, cannot b prettier than you. :P You and your Mr Lee, better stop making fun of me huh.... :P

The poolside where the solemnization was held. The tables in this photo was where we had the buffet dinner....

The solemnization was a great event. Other than the bride almost tripping herself... it was pretty nice. Hee... and we noticed something... at the end of the solemnization when they walked out, the groom was holding the bouquet and the bride was holding the cert... So comical... Hee.... Following that, there was this "pao xiu qiu" by my dear Shihua and she told me long ago, I must go there and stand to try and catch her bouquet. But no way am I going to do that... In the end, before she threw the bouquet, she noticed I was not amongst the ladies and called out my name so loudly... Walau, so embarrassing leh... :P

The buffet dinner is something new that I've tried as wedding dinner, coz there were mostly western food and it's non-aircon by the pool area. The food is nice but there was a power outage suddenly and so it became dark and warm, haha... There was also no "yum seng" and the atmosphere was so romantic. It was pretty casual and our dear bride was walking around and chatting with everyone. Tsk tsk tsk... at the end, before we left we even stood around and chatted for more than 15 mins. It was pretty cool, as it started at 6 plus right after the solemnization and by 9 plus, we left the place.

Ouch! What's that???

My upper gum hurts a little. Today after work, I noticed there was "something" growing on my upper gum, so when I got home, I looked into the mirror and found that there's a little weird blister growing there. I asked my mum and she said could be due to something I ate... But today, I only had Ajisen Ramen for lunch... and fried bee hoon for breakfast. Seems like it's growing bigger and there's "nong" inside... Yucks!

I went jogging again today... It's been 1 week plus since I last week coz of a busy schedule [nice to exercise and sweat it out.. haha], tuitions and more tuitions since these few weeks are exam weeks... I broke my record last night. A 1.5 hour tuition, I took almost 2.5 hours coz it was for Maths and my student was pretty confused over some stuffs... After the session, I couldn't stop coughing... Guess I must have spoken to much during tuition...

Last Sunday was pretty fruitful. It was Mother's Day, as well as my Dad's 55th birthday. Mum was working as usual that day, so I met up with my dear Apple at Dhoby Ghaut for medicure n pedicure services. Thanks for the lunch treat that day, my dear! After the sessions and lunch, we went shopping a bit and I bought 2 shirts from This Fashion. I even signed up for the membership since it's more worthy... A shirt that original cost $23, even after member price, I still saved... Haha... Then I also bought quite a lot of VCDs from the sales in PS. Mainly mostly were for my mum.. she loves Hokkien show... After that, Apple took 190 back home with me.. Hee... Now she's in Korea having fun.. enjoy yourself, gal! In the evening, brought my family out to dinner at the market nearby. My dad ordered the food and even wanna pay for the meal, but I beat him to it, haha! It's his birthday and Mother's Day, how can I let them pay? :P Mum even got a free cake from the coffee shop after we finished dinner... Nice one :)

Feeling pretty tired this week, guess I'll try n sleep early. :D
My idol, take care of yourself and don't fall sick ok? :) Thanks for the meal and the drink today. Heee....

P.S: Update at 9.20pm, while I was brushing my teeth juz now.. that "blister" broke and bled alot... Hopefully will heal by tmr... Damn pain now since it broke. Ouch!

What's up with me?

I'm been feeling quite down today... I dun really know why.. Perhaps feel bad over something that I did. :P

After work, I went downtown alone.... went for facial at PS and then massage at Chinatown. Had wanted to take some food after my facial and before my massage, but can't decide what my tummy wanna eat. In the end, I skipped dinner.... hohoho.... slimming session.

The past 2 weeks have been pretty ok, except that the weather is really really hot at days, unbearable. And oh, I got a "small fortune"... Source to be kept unknown. Haha... I think my parents are happier. :P Last weekend, met up with my Apple dear at West Mall to cut our hair and do treatment. My "格格" took up rebonding and in the end I have so much time while waiting for her, I bought a number of things:-
- facial cotton
- exercise mat
- kimchi from a korean store
- Bubble tea for Apple
- newspapers
- saline solution
By the end, I was so tired, I sat at a seat near the salon to wait for her... lol.... She knows I dun like shopping and was pretty amazed I bought so many things. Thanks to TM for sending me home, else I think I gotta take a cab. :)

My parents went to Granny's house in JB yesterday and juz got home tonight, even later than me. :P She's not feeling that well and my mum forced her to see the doc today. She's having really bad "guan jie yan" and is banned from staying in aircon places and a lot of food.... She's my only granparent left and I was really really close to her when I was a kid. Mum used to tell me, when I was 3-4 years old, whenever granny visit us at the kampong, I will pack a few clothes and go off to JB with Granny. Though we never express our love openly, but in my heart, I really love her. :) Hope Granny will recover soon!

It's 10.45pm right now.. way past my normal bedtime. Not sure if I can rest well tonight with lots of stuffs on mind...

10 more days, my dear Shihua getting married! Be a pretty bride orh! Waiting to see you turn into "Mrs Lee", heee.....

Finally.... I went jogging alone today

heee, after a much awaited period of dragging and dilly-dallying... today I finally went jogging alone. Had wanted very much to do so for past few months but did not put my words into actions till this evening.

Thanks to u, I finally plucked up the courage to go jogging alone at the park near my home.. Lots of ppl jog at that time time... handsome men, old ah peks.... haha...

Hopefully I can continue this exercise routine and reduce 7kg within next 3 months... :P

人生中的第一次

今天刚回到家的时候，突然间好想把我人生中所记得的第一次记录下来。。。

从我有印象以来，我记得第一次上学比同年的朋友迟了一年，因为以前住在山坝区，所以交通很不方便，直到搬来征服组屋，才直接上第二年。那是小妹六岁的时候。。。

七岁那年，第一次上小学，有点不习惯。整天闹情绪。。还好， 那时婆婆还在时，每天不辞劳苦带我上学，下课。婆婆虽然走了十五年，可是有时我还真的怀念她。我的童年的快乐时光，大多数多是婆婆给的。

九岁那年，我从德惠小学转校到武吉班让小学，又是一个新的环境，有新的朋友。。 可是还是有点不习惯。 人生中，第一次考试考得非常差。三年级的我，数学总分100分，小妹我只拿了9分。没脸见人。妈妈花了一笔钱，请了一个好老师的我补习，成绩突飞猛进 - 从9分，小妹我拿了92分。简直不可思议！

十岁的时候，第一次发现喜欢上班上的一名小男生。可是，没几个月，就没感觉了。还那么小。哈哈。因为是有些原因的。。。 可是还是跟小男生的妹妹当上好朋友直到小学毕业，就没联络。

十一岁的时候，第一次交上我人生中最好的两个朋友。 直到现在，我们还有保持联络。

十二岁那年，我小学毕业，成绩不是很好，也是婆婆过世的一年。印象深刻，无法专心考试。婆婆去世那晚，我守在身边。第二天是英文离校考试。

中学的那四年，也没什么可说的。简直是兰透顶。。 唯一的好事是交上中学最要好的朋友。以前参加同乐队，是名大喇叭手，第一次搭飞机出国 - 去澳洲比赛。虽然不是很好，可是也是生命中的四年。中二时，第一次出去打工，赚钱养自己。直到中四，小妹的补习老师鼓励我教补习。人生中的起跑点开始了。老师是我的生命中的第一个贵人。到现在，我还在低收费的帮小学生补习。

十七岁，上了理工学院。一个新的开始。也是小妹找到生命中的另外两名好朋友。第一次去美国，是个难忘的经验。理工学院的三年，是满快乐的。要是小妹没有钻牛角尖7年，可能会更快乐。哈哈。

二十岁，毕业了。经融危机让小妹找不到工作，做临时工一年。后来找到的工作也不理想，被坑了。拿到第一份薪水，带全家上酒楼第一次吃饭。爸妈不舍得吃，结果菜都是我点的。最贵的套餐。哈哈哈。 虽然工作非常的，时间长，可是不可否认的，小妹在那学了很多东西。

二十四岁，谈上了第一次的恋爱。甜甜的，好好的感觉。虽然不久，可是非常珍惜。。 我们还是很好的朋友。恋爱，有好多第一次。。

二十六岁，终于，拿到我的大学文凭。不能否认，那感觉，真得很好很好。超难形容的！感到非常的自豪，虽然满街都是大学生，没什么希奇的，可是还是好好的感觉。谢谢爸妈陪我上吉隆坡毕业！

再过几个月就二十七了。。 我还有多少个第一次？人生的感叹。。。。

Hee, it's been sometime since I wrote something here... Blog turning rusty...

Well.... I've been mostly rotting at home after work and on the weekends... Really feel lazy and tired to go anywhere or do anything... Last night, I feel so sad, coz the TV in my living room is spoilt. This also means that I can no longer watch TV. Blah~~~

My dear Shihua is getting married soon... In a month's time... I guess this is the first time I'm feeling so happy for a friend getting married. Perhaps she's one of my closest friend who was there for me all these years. We joked, talked heaven n earth... share secret.. Now she's getting married, it's just like I'm marrying off my elder sister.... Gal, may everyone bless you! Muacks!
